No. Just first class. I considered those to be money loss and will act suprise when the rebate check came through. But then, I don't buy many stuff that required rebates. :)

I might with future rebates. I just got a postcard saying my last rebate had a postmark dated after the deadline, but I sent it in a week before the deadline...I don't see any way to argue with them without any evidence of when I sent the form in.

Let that be a lesson. Sent it with registered post so you get something you can proove when you sent it with (assuming you can do that in the USA)

yes, especially with larger rebate amounts, why take the chance of it getting lost or the company giving you the run around when you have no proof to back up your claims?

Depends on the "risk quotient," a highly proprietary NogginBoink formula that takes into account the amount of the rebate, the reputation of the vendor, the AT Hot Deals Abuse Factor, and whether or not I'm feeling lucky as I head to the post office.

Same here.

I'd rather pay $4 for peace of mind on a $150 rebate than have the company claim "we never received your rebate submission, sorry".

For small stuff just regular first class. For any big rebates, I'll send it with delivery or signature confirmation.
