I say wicked, not from MA. Learned it from Trailer Park Boys I think, so they must say it up in Canadia.

You should change it to New England or at least Mass/NH/RI. I am from NH and say wicked from time to time. Its wicked awesome.

I / my fiance use it (from Ontario) though there was a long period where we didn't (since about middle school). We kind of resurrected it for situations where you're obviously trying to display some form of childish enjoyment, as opposed to just saying something is cool. I use a drawn out "nice" for that.

LOL, as a fellow MA resident, I've noticed that yeaaaars ago. It tends to be an eastern MA thing though, but it's been spread about my western MA hometown area pretty thoroughly. I say it all the time.

I was just gonna post 12 years old, which I guess equates to 6th grade.

Is Massachusettes that far behind in cool kid slang?

Haha I use 'hella', but I'm the only person I know who does (actually my brother does too, but we share a soul so we're pretty much the same person).

Only people I knew who said it were posers and tools. And that was in highschool.

I do enjoy "Dude" and "werd" though.

I'm not from Mass, but I use it quite often. I never use "wicked cool" though. I use it when watching baseball and the pitcher throws a wicked curve ball. Or when I hear a car that has a ridiculously large cam (cams in rare cases) in it, I'll say the exhaust sounds wicked.

I should've probably said that in the op. For instance "I"m going to go to the store wicked quick"

<- IL and I use "wicked"

A college buddy of mine who is originally from Rhode Island said "wicked awesome" all the time. It was hard for our group of friends to not pick it up while hanging around him.

it's more of a general new england thing than specifically Mass, though, at least from my observations.

I remember everyone using it in NH all the time.

personally, I only use the term facetiously.
