I don't mean boss as in cool, I mean boss as in man or dude. Like "Thanks boss" if someone held the door open for you or something.

I say it to my boss because he hates it and it makes me laugh. :D

I do it all the time, just something I picked up working around a bunch of old timers when I worked in the oil industry.

Similarly, I hate when people say 'bro' or 'tiger' or 'brah' or 'sport'

No... no man... shit, no man, I believe you'd get your ass kicked saying something like that man :colbert:

I get it all the time, especially from the 1st generation immigrants that I work with, but I guess that goes with being the "boss".

I always laugh at people that say Boss or Chief, I thought it was a joke, not an actual greeting kind of thing.

Being born and raised in Southern California I realize I say dude way more than the average person would be comfortable with.

Being born in SoCal has nothing to do with saying Dude. I was born in upstate NY, lived in Bumfuck Ohio and now reside in Texas and I call everyone dude.

If I say boss, it's usually "bosslady or bossman" to my actual bosses.

Me too, but only when it's out of context.
Anyone not from Hawaii saying "brah", younger than 70 saying "tiger" or not an outlaw biker saying "bro" disturbs my sensibilities.:sneaky:
