My mother always did. We used to have a couple of jars of it in the fridge.

Now I find myself doing the same thing.

Do any of you guys do this?

Hell yes! You can use that stuff for anything! Frying eggs, grilled cheese... anything! And as a bonus, it adds a little bacon flavor to everything you cook in it!

Yes. It's pretty much free all-natural authentic flavored oil.

Save it, make fried rice with it, OMG!

if I'm cooking something along with the bacon, I'll use the grease (eg: bacon and eggs, bacon cheeseburgers) but I won't like jar it up and save it in perpetuity.

I never save it, but if I cook anything else along with the bacon I use the bacon grease as my oil.

Yes, but only because I'm afraid to put it down my crappy sink. I throw it out when the can fills up.

Why would I save it? I've found the best use for greases is to throw it on the neighbors kids that wont stop screaming and yelling and generally being annoying.

Cooking with bacon fat is basically the same as cooking with lard. Well, except for the extra flavor.

Pork fat is the best thing there is. Back in the country, pork fat was the only source of fat in daily cooking. No one got obese from it until we came here and start messing with butter.
