even if you have a gpa of 2.445 and it doesnt ask on what scale, just write 3, so if they ask you can always justify it. just don't put down 3.0.

I had all As and one B+ during my undergraduate (There was not an A- at that time at my university). For a while I rounded up to 3.99 on my resume (from 3.986). I never would consider rounding up further to 4.0.

Now that I've attended grad school, I leave my GPA off as all grad students are recommended to do.

If you don't put your GPA on your resume, the recruiter will either ask or assume you didn't put it on because you're hiding it from them. I've worked with enough human resource managers to know that GPA is important. When looking at a resume with little to no experience, the hiring managers have no way of knowing the quality of the candidate by looking at a piece of paper. I've been asked for my GPA after having worked 2 years full-time.

EDIT: Since many jobs require a minimum of 3.0 GPA, I am aware that many with 2.9 GPA round up to 3.0 GPA. It's a big jump up but many companies won't even look at a resume below 3.0.

i've seen a lot of firms on wall st. that not only want your GPA, but will also ask you for your SATs!
