This is what CBD looks like.

Haidt (who based his theory on earlier work by Schweder) proposed that moral values consist of 6 foundations. (Listed below with their moral opposites in brackets)

Care (harm): cherishing and protecting others
Fairness (cheating): rendering justice according to shared rules
Loyalty (betrayal): standing with your group, family, nation
Authority/Respect (subversion) : obeying tradition and legitimate authority.
Sanctity/Purity (degradation) : abhorrence for disgusting things, foods, actions
Liberty (oppression): the loathing of tyranny

As an interesting note, the three 'moral foundations' that conservatives possess are exclusive to them and are not generally found in progressives or libertarians. They are also the moral foundations that some research has shown are most closely associated with authoritarianism and a desire for high levels of social dominance.

For example standing with your group or family is not inherently moral, nor is obeying tradition. In fact, there are countless examples throughout history where standing with your group would be a highly immoral act. Also, what is considered 'disgusting' is highly related to those previous two things.

It could be easily argued that those three foundations unique to conservatives are not moral at all, but I guess that depends on one's comfort level with what I just talked about.

I remember when BDS ("Bush Derangement Syndrome") was tossed around a lot in these parts.

It can be so argued but the argument will only pursuade liberals. From my perspective and obviously liberally and conservatively damaged brain, I can make the case that all of those 6 points can be immoral. For example:

What if your notion of justice is justice only for your own concerns but not for black people. What is you fail to see the deep morality that is foundational in many cultures. What if your moral values of respect for authority get you killed for playing in the street. What if you believe that freedom is slavery.

What matters isn't how many areas of morality are present or absent in a political philosophy, but whether the person is in touch with the inalienable truth that is inherent in the human condition. That inner truth either functions in a person or if buried and sleeps beneath early childhood violent programming. There are some who hear the call of the one truth within us all but most of us are asleep and invent our own laws.
