Raid 1+0.....4ssd's. Why? Because I demand performance and reliability

How does 10 compare to 5 or 6 with lot of drives as far as performance? (say, 10 spindles) I've been debating on if I should stick to raid 5/6 or go with raid 10. Also rebuild times for 10 are much quicker right?

I think what he means is that if you are rolling with less than 10 drives, you are rolling the proverbial dice, I think. 😳

Was more of a side question, because I have been debating on switching to raid 10, just trying to see if it's worth it as you "loose" more drive space.

With raid 5, I find anything past 10 drives and switching it to raid 6 is probably a good idea.
