Except for Guinness, I prefer out of a bottle.

Guinness draught. There are other styles of Guinness that come in bottles, and are also quite good.

I'm no big fan of draught, but the can is more gimmicky than anything. Can't really come close to the tap, imo.

poured into glass. I can taste the bottle.

I prefer to buy bottles, as 98% of the beer I buy only ships in bottles, I suppose. I always drink something new from a glass, then will go straight from the bottle.

Dale's Pale Ale, however, is dank beer disguised in a can.

?

dank beer? I believe thats "Humboldt Hemp Ale"
I'm referring to Dale's Pale Ale.

Also, I know I'm not the only one that mixes beer and weed adjectives. dank = good, not just something with hemp in it--hemp having nothing to do with weed.

different plant 😉

I was going to ask about that. Have only heard dank used for talking about kickass weed. But beer? In regards to beer, dank would almost make me think it was something shitty. 😛

you know, "skunk" generally refers to bad beer: it's gone "skunky." But it also works for good weed. hmmmm....

I've never really heard "shwag" used with beer. I guess at some point "dank" spread to a multitude of products.

They were giving away samples of Dale's, Old Chub and Ten Fidy at the liquor store last night. They explained about their double lined can.

Man, that Ten Fidy was definitely crankcase material.

You know, I've yet to try their other styles. They don't distribute too far outside of CO, iirc. I've heard good things.

I don't like the taste of a metal can. I always buy bottled beer.

Aren't you 18?

No, I'm 128, but I've been drinking beer since I was 3. I also own a lightsaber

Guinness is better out of a can.

Er, it's 100x better out of the tap.

It's really impressive that you can somehow get beer out of a tap, when your options are can and bottle!

and ps if poured incorrectly from the tap, it tastes like the bottled version.

lol owned.

Doesn't matter to me.

Owned because the poll is incomplete? I think not. And the few bars that I go to pour correctly, but yes I've had a few bad pours.

I think so.

I don't really think the poll is incomplete. Most people aren't going out and buying kegerators, or the special hardware needed for Guinness kegs. So if you're buying beer for yourself, not at a bar....well, your choices are can or bottle.

If I buy beer for myself and I'm not at a bar, I would never buy Guinness because it wont taste right.

Ha, even in abbreviations, you omit the H....thats special.

I thought that was supposed to get him banned if he pulled that stunt again. Oh well. You know what goes great with beer...WAFFLES!

So then tonight, I was in BevMo (yesterday I was just buying a few bottles to tide me over until today's trip across town) and they were doing tastings. They had the Gordon's Beer, which is more like a double IPA - best of all I've tried of the Oskar Blues brews. It was good, but I still didn't buy any - it was more expensive than the Dogfish 90.

proper glass > bottle > can

but i'm not a picky bitch...most of the time.

and that's not necessarily true about drinking from a can you don't care about taste.

Guinness and Boddingtons comes to mind

Bingo. Certain beers that come in nitro cans are much better from a can than a bottle. Young's Double Chocolate stout comes to mind. Tap >> Can >>>>> Bottle. Without a doubt.

Mmmmhmm.. Oscar's beers come in cans, but that stuff is so fine. Mmm Ten Fidy.
