Do you play with AA/AF?

You have to push the button.

Sorry, I really haven't tried TBH. Why are you wanting to know though? Of course people are going to want AA/AF with a higher resolution too, it will always look better than without.

Its my opinion that people would use AA/AF as well, just doing some fact checking for something else.

16xAF has been a mandatory standard for me since the 9700 Pro and it's never disabled.

I use AA only if I've maxed out my resolution and I still have power to burn.

i will only disable AA/AF if i cant get "playable" framerates or if the game doesnt like it (corrupted textures, game doesnt work, etc).

not even in oblivion @ 1600x1200 do I disable 4xAA, HDR, and 16xHQAF

The distinction for me is whether I want to use MSAA SSAA or none.

🙂

yeah if I wanted to. But games sure look prettier when I turned AA/AF on 🙂

I haven't bothered AA/AF in oblivion...x850xt can't take it =/. The game still looks good w/ or without it 🙂

Couldn't agree with you more. And with the order of preference..
Except that sometimes I use 8xHQAF and mipmaps look better in some games. This is because 16xHQAF sampling squares the circle too much for my tastes in some games..

In a perfect world, of course I'd like to play with AA/AF all the time. But in the real world, I have a 6800GT that can't do fancy stuff like that anymore 😛

Why not?

Fixed, for me.

yep, ever since i bought a 6800GT ive played with at least 2xAA and 8XAF

currently its usually 4xTRSS AA and 16xAF with all the optimization that i can turn off turned off, and slider set to HQ

Yeap that's true. Turning AF on has a very small performance cost, so I can't grasp this either..

I use both unless performance is not good enough or OpenEXR HDR is enabled. For me AF is a MUST, but AA it isn't that important.
