I used to play. Started around 4th edition and ice age and I think it was around Tempest when I stopped. It just got too expensive keeping up with all of the sets that were coming out.
I had this awesome deck that would kill in both one-on-one and group games. It was a White Blue Counter-Post deck. It was fill with counter spells, lots of creature destruction and that white outpost land that creates 1/1 creatures. It would build armys up of little 1/1 creatures overrun people. Image an army of 1/1 creatures doing like about 8 points of damage a turn!
I also had an all blue deck that would make you draw the same card over and over again. Very annoying to play against
All green speed deck with Verderns(sp) (draw two for each enchantment you cast) and lots of creatures.
All red kolbal deck. (not very good but very fun to play with).
