Do you photocopy all your rebate submissions?

Yep. A recent rebate from Buy.com was reported as an incomplete submission and I was asked to fax a copy. If I hadn't copied the original, I would have been screwed out of $50.

Yes I make a copy of everything, but have never had to resubmit anything. Anytime one of my rebates goes sideways I phone the appropriate people and the problem is fixed right then and there.

Yes. Not the envelope as the only thing that would prove for me would be the address to which I mailed it and I've never had that be an issue.

I don't remember having to resubmit anything, but have read too many posts about denials that didn't get resolved without resubmissions to not keep copies. I have taken the photocopies of documents for a rebate in question to the store where I made the purchase and the store has paid the rebate. Most of the forms even say to keep copies just in case.

No, I scan them in instead so I can organize them better. But Yes I do the form, the UPC, the Receipt, etc.

Yes and if the rebate's value is $50 or more I send it USPS Certified with signed return receipt.

Careful with that certified stuff. At least one of the rebate houses has said it won't accept certified submissions. Don't know if that applies to all their rebates or just some. Seems to be limited so far to some Parago at Miami rebates. Other rebate houses have said that they slow the process down dramatically.

True, I like to be careful as well but certified is really pushing it. I scan everything before sending out, can print copies later if needed. Had my $200 WD rebate rejected but mailed them back in, time to check up on it :Q

Really? That's good to know, thanks. Maybe I'll just stick with USPS Priority with DC from now on.

ABSOLUTELY YES. If you are caught with your pants down, you're going to get jacked of your cash.

I used to xerox everything. Now I just scan it all into a rebates folder and when the rebate comes in the mail I delete the images for that rebate.
