The storyline and gameplay attracts me more than graphics and mindlessly killing, thats why i hated Doom3

I like my story games . . .

HL1 was excellent, not as much story through cutscenes but you were able to slowly peice together what was going on.

HL2 . . . less so, but still fun.

Deus Ex - fantastic story, loved it.

Okay, so you guys are why I can't play FPS games anymore, they're catering to you tards with no attention span.

I pay more attention to the story than to any other aspect. The game could TOTALLY LACK TEXTURES but have an engrossing storyline and I wouldn't care.

Up to a certain point insofar as I can advance my character through it, but that's about it.

You have to admit that most of the story-lines are pretty predictable...

The story in HL2 annoyed the hell out of me in that you couldn't skip those far too long story parts and that they'd keep on talking. And stuff like putting sentry guns down and not being able to do anything but wait from that point.
