not anything considered geeky here, no.

i'd need the continuum transfunctioner to even have a sniff at "geeky" around here.

How about things once considered geeky?

Only huge geeks had PCs prior to say 1995, I got my first one in 1987.

Same goes for smartphones before 2007, got my first one in 2004.

Both of these things are mainstream now and are no longer geeky.

Since pretty much everyone here has something that could qualify as a gaming rig, usually hand built, there's your geeky gadget right there.

I guess that counts, but I'm thinking of devices such as the ones already mentioned in this thread, as well as items such as this one

I have my iPhone modified to the point where "normal" people can't use it. Custom lock screens, no app names, blank menu screens due to "blank" app buttons, hidden menus only accessible by swiping on certain parts of the screen, etc. Not considered geeky here, but keeps most people from wanting to play with my damn phone.

I don't have the most powerful computer in the world, but I start it with a screw driver. Power button is dead and I haven't gotten around to fixing it. A screw driver isn't geeky by itself, but when used to start a computer there is a sliver of geekiness.

I won't count the many shirts I have since they aren't really a gadget. One of my friends does have both the WiFi signal strength, and drum set shirt that makes sounds t shirts though...what a NERD!

I had a Raytheon X-100xp thermal imager and ITT gen 3 night vision up til a couple weeks ago. Cool to have, but completely useless. I've only used each about an hour max.

I do own RC airplanes, which can be considered geeky by some if you classify them as robots. I also own art books for Okami and Star Wars. And, I have a box of Pocky on my desk.

The only marginal thing would be the somewhat more expensive then usual torches that I have. I like the quality of the beam and it's very well built.

I am going out on a limb, but I am going to say Rubycon will win this thread.

I have a 3-channel helicopter, though that's not all that geeky. My laptop looks pretty normal, but I play Supreme Commander on it all the time, which makes it geeky. For a while some friends and I would also fire up DosBox for games of MoO2; now that was geeky.

I have a server in my apt in a full size server case with a 20TB RAID setup. Is that considered a geeky gadget?

well i've built my own joystick to work on ps3 and xbox360, some people consider that pretty damn geeky, and the fact that i take it with me when i go to street fighter 4 tournaments is pretty geeky. i always get crap from my non-gamer friends when i tell them about goingn to those things, but even they can respect the fact i built my own joystick.

that is probably the only geeky gadget that i own that is not very common

Not really. The geekiest thing I suppose would be couple of old games such as Blood/BloodII (complete collection including all expansions) and AGP Voodoo 5500 that I intended to put in an old game rig, but has been postponing it forever since.

I still have XP on my laptop that can play MoO2 just fine (with the latest dos version update).

I own a binary clock
I own 4 of These Tiger I, Panzer IV, Snow Leopard (Pershing), KV1... I await the Sherman
I collect weird versions of the boardgame Diplomacy.
