Do you own a HDTV with your X360/PS3?

I love my HDTV and I used to run XBOX 360 on a TV, then I ran it on a spare LCD monitor then I got my HDTV. HDTV wins hands down! The HDTV also has a lot more usability as I also watch videos from another couple (that's hooked up to the TV) off of it.

I have hauled the 360 in the master bedroom to play on a SD 36" on occasion, and it doesn't look bad at all. Text is really small, and detail isn't the same, but still very enjoyable.

The PS3 on HDMI with BLU-Ray movies is stunning.

I use the HD-VGA cabled from 360 to my Dell 2007FPW. I get HD at 720P which is more than enought for me as I am only a couple of feet from my monitor. I have not gone the route of a full-blown HDTV set as the technology, IMO, still has a ways to go. When Laser comes out (or whatever they call it now) I will reevaluate.

I am debating whether to purchase a Xbox 360 on my standard TV. Hope it's not going to be too bad.

Still looks good...but you really should start saving your pennies for an HDTV...its just so damn sweet.

The REASON I bought my HDTV was for the 360. I got them within a month of each other.

Never regretted my purchase for an instant even after the bulb blew after only like 9 months (got it used). I can't even look @ a 360 game on a standard TV... 🙁

When i got the ps3 when it first dropped all i had was a SD tv, it wasn't worth the system being $600 for me, so thats when i unloaded it. Now that i have a HD tv, i wish i had the ps3 or an xbox360

I will get one soon. Both me and my brother have SDs with our consoles (I have a PS3 and he has a 360), and they look fine. Of course an HDTV would look better, but on SD, they still look pretty good. Do NOT watch an HD movie on an SD screen! NO NO NO NO!

I have played my 360 on many SD and HD screens. Personally I have a 37" 1080p Westinghouse, but I've also played it on my parents 32" 720p CRT screen and my friends 60" 720p screen. I have also played it on a few SD screens, the worst part about SD is trying to read anything. It definitely wont't be a waste if you don't have HD, the games will still be fun and look good, but they won't look as good as on an HD set.

+1 for the 37" 1080p Westinghouse, also tried it on a 720p and 1080p projector on a 106" screen, and I have to say the 720p looks the best since thats what most games are running native.

Dead Rising absolutely cannot be played on SD (from what everyone says) and it's one of the 'must have' games if you bother getting a 360.

The PS3 and 360 are playable on standard 480i televisions, but it just isn't the same as in HD 720p/1080i/1080p. I'm used to PS3 on a 32" HDTV, and when I tried playing it on a 55" TV (it is an HDTV) with composite inputs, the image was absolutely horrible. It wasn't unplayable, but I could never imagine spending $500 to get that kind of image quality. Especially since one the big reasons to get a PS3 (IMO) is for Blu-Ray.... and you can't make sure of Blu-Ray on a non-HD television.

When I first tried playing mine on an EDTV (480p), the text was practically unreadable in PGR. That's one of the reasons why I switched to a computer monitor and eventually to my HDTV. HDTV is such a huge improvement and then you get 5.1 surround sound... oh it's awesome 😀.
