Do you or your friends have broadband?

I don't know anybody that isn't on broadband. I'm in Canada...I think we have the highest number of highspeed internet users in the world.

i have broadband...most of my friends dont though...and i really really feel sorry for them...hehe
 
Broadband is commie conspiracy. If everyone has broadband than the commies can make available the socialist literature and brain wash people.

I'm on broadband. My 70 y/o Mom actually got it before I did! Boy was I pissed!

Out of my 3 brothers and sister:

One brother has it.

One brother is very wealthy, and the homes are spread so far apart in his area, cable and DSL aren't available there yet so he's using ISDN now. He's building a new house in the same estates and just decided to have a T1 line installed instead of waiting for DSL or cable any longer.

And another brother doesn't have it. He's mentally disabled. He uses a free dialup service.

My sister hasn't gotten it yet, I keep asker her why, because her daughters are in a private college prep high school and spend a lot of time online for research.

Some of my friends have it, some don't. The ones who don't have it are newbies, or can't get it.
 
I got broadband (640K DSL) as soon as it was available in 1999 and haven't looked back since then. Most my friends have purchased newer PCs within the past 2 years, I won't shut up about how cable/DSL is 20x faster than 56k is and you can talk on the phone at the same time.

So far I have converted 4 people to broadband (3 cable &amp; 1 DSL), the other two are just plain cheap asses.

I live in the freakin boonies! Throw me a fricken bone here people! My road isn't even paved! I have no cable down my road! I would call it a street, except for the fact that it's just a dirt road. I'm like 5 miles from the nearest DSL node! I'm sitting here watching FOX on my bunny ears and there's a freakin CLEO commercial on! &quot;Call me now fer a free tarot caaarrrdd reedun! Don't go blindly into the darkness, let me illluuuuuminate your path wit da powa of da tarot caaards!&quot; All that and the fact that I have no moooooooney, makes broadband an impossibility for me. I gotta pay for my phone line and for AOL 😀 every month, so all in all I'm paying about the same as if I had broadband...stupid FCC screws you over with misc. phone charges! Grrr:|:|

Oh, and I don't have any friends...
 
I got T1 at my apartment at school, and Cable internet at my parents' house. I do not know what I would do without broadband.

Naw, you can get Sat service anywhere as long as you have a clear view of the southern sky.

I dunno about pings though. Anyone know what the pings are like on a dish?
 
I have Broadband... umm I think? It's Cox Cable.. and it .. SUCKS!!!

Get this.. I d/l at 20-40kb/s man oh man.... they are the worst, but I have no other choice where I live 🙁
