Do you or did you ever have a fake ID to use for getting served alcohol?

I didn't but I did get into bars using my underage license. They'd ask for ID, I'd show them my license, and they'd let me in :^D
 
I had several, but I think everyone that let us into the night clubs knew my friends and I were under 21 (started at 15 or so). Was just plausible deniability on their part I guess.

If they didn't let the kids in, who were they going to sell the drugs to? 😀
 
I never got carded until I turned legal age, for some reason. Once that happened I started getting carded all the time.

I'm not sure what was up with the ID. I guess it was so someone could SEE them checking ID. The first time I did that, I was caught off guard going to a place that NEVER checked ID. After that, I used it other places with a very high success rate. That might have had more to do with my skill at selecting venues than that particular technique :^D
 
I was only 17 when I went to college, the drinking age was 18 then, then 19 the following year. The bouncers working at the door at most of the bars were the dumb football player jock type. All brawn, no brains. I used my *real* ID. They put it up to the black light, they put it up to the bright light, then held it at all sorts of angles to make sure it wasn't fake or chalked or something. Then, they let me in. Dumbasses never checked the date.
 
No. And I was pissed because at the time because I missed my chance to meet Perry Farrell. Instead, friends dropped me off at a girl's dorm, which wasn't all bad either.
 
I've got two months until I'm 21, and I'm in my last year at college. Of course I need an ID.
 
Yes, since I was 19. Those ID's in the picture are laughably bad. Looks NOTHING like a real ID from either state.

That's what I was thinking. Though, I'd imagine getting a fake NYS ID would be fairly hard because it's made of this weird flexible plastic stuff. Not something a standard card machine can spit out.

The PA license is just a standard type plastic with some holograms. I have to say, my real ID gets inspected way more than my fake ever did. I went to the liquor store on Saturday and the clerk scanned my ID and then checked my signature against the slip I had to sign because he scanned it. Ridiculous.
 
Nope, I worked a 2nd shift job at 18 and would go out with guys after work and never got carded. I even shot on pool leagues for a couple years when under age and nobody thought to ever card me.

I think it depends on the store. I've been to three different ones in the city: One in CC, one on South Street, and one near my apartment (11th & Wharton-ish). The one near my apartment carded me, scanned my ID, and had me sign a paper. The one on South Street didn't even card me. The one in CC looked at my ID quickly and handed it back.

That being said, I never used a fake ID. There were plenty of house parties with kegs and 21 friends with real IDs for me to spend the money on one.
 
The ID was real, it just wasn't mine. I stole my brothers. He was a good bit heavier than me so I didn't use it for bars, just carry outs. As you can imagine the guys that load beer into your truck aren't brightest souls in the world. When asked, "man you look a lot smaller". My response was simple. I quite smoking pot and it melted right off.(when I didn't smoke but that's besides the point) They would look at each other, shrug their shoulders and go about their business. Worked every time.
 
I grew up in South Lake Tahoe. I had a fake ID from 17 till 20 when I got caught with it. It was at Sahara Tahoe Casino and they just took it away.
 
Nope. In HS we drank at friends houses/parties. When I was in college, we drank at our fraternity parties.

I never bothered with bars.

Nope. Never had or used a fake ID. That being said, in college I went out with a bunch of guys to bars and they were 21 or over and I always managed to get in without being checked or using my college ID at the time.
 
yes, made it myself. worked at the distributor in my college town, i actually became a regular so i was only IDed like the first 2 times, 2 years of illegal purchases FTW

also the NY id in the OP looks NOTHING like my real NY id
 
My friend made me one on his printer, it was big business back in the day. Only once did a bouncer catch it and was so impressed he let us in anyway. "Awesome fake, I'll let you in this time!". Today there are too many freaking holograms and translucency to emulate, kids these days have it rough.
 
I didn't get carded at liquor stores or bars usually. I had a beard instead of a fake Id, and my score was a lot better than 13/18. (pretty much like 99/100 places served me)
