Do you open the car door for your GF/wife on a regular basis?

On a regular basis (meaning, > 90% of the time), do you open the car door for your girlfriend or wife? I know it's seen as a courtesy, but with keyless entry on my car, she can get in her damn self without me opening the door for her😉

only when we go on a date

otherwise, i am trying to get the kids in the car , so opening the door for her would sorta hold everything up

I open other doors for my wife as well as others I don't even know. Car doors are the personal responsibility of the person getting in or out of.

I did back when I had a girlfriend. Although she told me to stop when I got a keyless entry. But I did anyway.

I don't have a SO ATM, but when I had a girlfriend I did, and my dad does it 100% of the time for my mom, so I was kinda raised on it heh.

don't get sucked into the "gentleman" thing to do...especially if you don't have the practice.

Let's say you do this when you start dating her....she'd expect it everytime after that. If you starve her from the get go, she would never expect that. Personally, if a woman can't open her own d@mn door, she's doo "high maintenance". Maybe that's being a little too harsh, but it's true.

If you've always been taught to be a gentleman, then that's fine. do it all the time, otherwise, I'd say be yourself. If she don't like that, she can hit the road running 😉

i have always opened the car door, as well as any others for my girlfriends....everyone of them has always found it very sweet and loved it after the initial shock of havine someone actually do it for them.

No, my girlfriend and I both hate the mushy stuff that most people do for a relationship. We hang out, and we get to the point if we're in the mood. No soft gentle romantic stuff.

*shrug*

no power locks pretty much makes it a neccesity for me. Though i think I'd still do it even with keyless entry. Just seems like a nice thing to do.
