Do you oftenly go through threads you've posted in and...

That question I just said, but you... know, such thing, as far as it can be.

  • Yes; often!

  • Nope, not often!

Do you oftenly go through threads you've posted in and just search for people who have quoted what you said to see a response to that quote?

i used to before the forums changed and i could easily see the threads i had posted in

Automatically subscribe to threads you post in... It's an option. Also, USER CP helps with that. I'm subscribed to like 500+ threads probably. (It'd be more, but I unsubscribe to quite a few)

It's just my nice way of saying "we don't use that word" :).

Except, inextricably contained in your statement "it's not a commonly used word" is the idea that 'oftenly' is word, which it most certainly is not.

Just saying. :)

Yeah, I get it completely.

I think at that time of that posting, I was grouping people who did use this undefined word "oftenly" as the uncommon ones. Not that it is an actual word.

Besides, I wanted to see Trident reply back, isn't that what his thread is for? :awe:

Based on this thread I may now go through my old posts, quote them, then post something to contradict my original statement

Damn it! Now some modern dictionary that combs the web in search of missing words is going to find that word 100 times in this thread alone. Next year, this time, that word will be indexed.

As per on topic with the rest of the responses, Trident isn't alone in this behavior. We have 7 more people in off topic to correct their word usage.

It's actually kinda neat and fun to search commonly misused/mispronounced words.

Isn't that the point of the online forum? You respond, then interact with others.

Objection. Not yet! Give Tridey a chance to reply first then delete it for all I care, and I am good.
