a canister of folgers classic roast is 6-8 dollars at walmart, at the various local markets that same can will be anywhere from $10-$13

I wouldn't buy that crap. I get 2 lb bags of fair trade organic Italian roast for $12.50 at my local market. Non-organic coffee is poison.

First off "Fair trade"???

Secondly, would you care to point to the peer reviewed and repeated studies directly linking non-"organic" (scam) coffee to any outbreak of disease or injury?

You cannot.

So let me fix your quote:

I wouldn't buy that crap. I get 2 lb bags of fascist scam Italian roast for an outrageous price that sooths my liberal white guilt at my local market. Non-organic coffee is not good enough for elitists like me even though I have no proof that efficiently grown coffee causes any harm whatsoever.

There.

Ya I shop there all the time. It's pretty much the only place in town to get electronics or games. It's also really good for socks, and cheap golf balls.

I don't see how folks can say WallyWorld has the cheapest prices on groceries.

They recently opened one of their (less than) SuperStores here and their grocery prices suck.

They may be a tiny bit cheaper than the regular stores in town, but are consistently more expensive than the "warehouse" type grocery stores by a considerable amount.

Their produce department sucks.

Dude... LOL!

You make me laugh, even though what you say is somewhat true. 😛

I've never went. I dont even know of any in my area.

Give it a few days, one will sprout up any time now.

That said, I shop there, and if not there, then the rest of my stuff comes off line, or goodwill. Wife goes every other weekend with her mother, seem to always come home with deals, like shirts for $5 or less on clearance. Only place in town for me close to get a new game, if I just have to have it, and right away. Ours, and we have about 5 of them around equal distances from us, each of which is always clean, and decent people there. But no matter where you shop there is always going to be that family or two with the screaming or crying children with the parents yelling back at them to shut up. Lucky for me its not my family 🙂

no kidding.

just be careful of "special blend" folgers thats sometimes on sale at walmart. i think its made of the coffee grounds swept up from the factory floor or something lol

good god, im' no coffee snob but that was one i just threw out...6 dollars wasn't worth drinking it was so bad lol🙂

All the time, but it highly depends on your location. I've been to other stores where it was entirely too crowded and it was disorganized as well. Target is never like this but they are also not the best bargains available. If it's just a small item or two, Target is closer for me.

Everyone always talks about their horrible experiences at Wal-Mart, but I haven't ever had any....

EDIT: Maybe it is because I lived in a (smallish) town? If I went to Wal-Mart where I am living now (Los Angeles), it would probably be a different story.

Trust me, you don't want to go in any around here. They are all horrible. I've never seen a clean one.

I have a regular and super Walmart both within 5 minutes from my college, they're open 24 hours a day and it's a college student's dream.

I often go to Walmart. As much as I dislike the fact that everything is made in china by underpaid slaves, it's not just walmart where this happens, so does not really matter which store you go to. 99% of stuff we buy is made in china, which is sad imo.

Just got back from Walmart. Got some wiper blades, paper towels, and Boone's Farm Blue Hawaiian.

You fit Walmart's demographic perfectly.

sorry, but not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouth. i shop at walmart every so often because they have name brand items at low prices, but typically end up at meijer cause they're closer. can't fault families for trying to get by in these tough economic times.

... or maybe it should be 😀

it's funny how our friends coming from Queens/Brooklyn always want to visit the Ikea & Walmart by us.

I go once or twice a year for motor oil. That is it. I really can't stand the place and the people in it.

We're there maybe once a week? We live in a nice area outside of Nashville near the lake. We've got a 3-4 year old super walmart that has good prices and it's always clean. We do not have any of the problems that most of you guys talk about. It's not filled with white trash, actually it's usually soccer mom MILFS to be honest. It's stupid to judge a place based on its name alone. Target is great, but we can get things cheaper at walmart and theres no point in spending more money to try and be an elitist snob.
