Do you need a decoder for dolby digital with an audigy 2 + creative 6.1 speakers?

Ok I have an audigy 2 and got a set of creative inspire 6600(6.1) speakers with my new comp. The question is though, how to get DD going, do I need a decoder? I know the Inspire 5700's have a decoder, but I was under the impression with an audigy 2 you didn't need one. Reviews never mentioned the use of one, neither do the instructions with the speakers or audigy 2. They always seem to imply that coupling these speakers with an audigy 2 will instantly get you DD EAX etc.

Can someone clear this up and if I dont need a decoder, tell me what I need to do to get it happening? There is so much bloatware with this audigy 2 it makes things confusing.

Thanks

Thanks Adul, if you or anyone else knows where I have to look to set it up though, i'd appreciate it. Creatives instructions (or should i say lack of) suck. Also if this is the case then whats the digital out on the back for? Incase you want to hook up a external decoder?
