I name mine after Biblical characters - a habit I picked up from my college's Network admins. My two main boxes are Jonah and Job - Jonah is the new one, called him that because he was caught in the belly of the whale (tufshop.com shipping department) for an extended period of time. I named Job such because it is constantly tormented but has always remained faithful.

Yes, for Windows networking.

Some names I've used are Alyssa, Sandra, Cathy, Sara, etc. It goes in line with my spousal unit referring to my computers as my girlfriends.

Of course I name them. The names never make any sense, but they ARE names. 🙂

Supernova
Tetrahedron
Collective
Panopticon (coming soon)

I even name my VMware systems!

Imperceptus
VWBT

my personal computers have names like "Mother NAME"

my work pc is named (not by me) after some SpeedRacer car.
