Milk. I use Syntrax Nectar Chocolate Truffle and it tastes damn good with milk. The milk also adds some more protein, calcium, vitamin D, etc. It's possible that it slows absorption, but I doubt it's significant enough for me to care.
Milk. Water just didn't do it for me when I tried. My shake is my morning meal, so there's a lot of other stuff in it. I typically don't drink/use milk at any other time of the day, so I need it for the calcium.
I've been using ON 100% Whey Banana Cream flavor in my shake lately with orange juice, strawberries and a banana and it's really good.
The stuff I'm using now tastes disgusting (strawberry banana smoothy). I picked it up after a recommendation from a friend. I mix it with water because it's easier to chug that way and I don't feel like throwing up.
