Do you people believe in fate or destiny?

If you meet or bump into someone new at school, on the street, or on the bus, was there a reason for it? Were you always supposed to meet that person at that particular time?

(ps, I met a hot girl today on the bus WQe both got on at the university and were on our way home. The whole bus ride, I kept finding myself glancing over at her. When I got off at my stop, I was surprised to see she got off at the same place. She was going the same way as me, so I thought quick... "I've never seen you get off here before"... I was in She lives just down the street from me. (no pics... Yet) )

there is no such thing as fate or destiny. if so then that would mean either everything is predetermined, or certain things are scripted. and if its predetermined or scripted then there must be something controlling it i suppose, which would be a god.

there is just random luck and chance.

rofl... I wasnt trying to think of anything to say while I was on the bus. I was close to the back, and she was standing at the front cause the bus was full (she didnt see me till I got off).

When I got off, I was thinking to myself, I gotta say something right away or no dice. I cant walk half way down the street, then turn around and ask her some stuff. She'd freak out like I was stalking her. The first thing that came to my head was "I haven't seen you get off here before" and it just came out. It was pretty cool actually (well for me at least)

atleast you said something. I Generally ignore people unless they talk to me. then I MIGHT talk to them. I see people who are in a lot of my classes but I never talk to them. Not so much as I'm shy, more like I don't know how to hold a interesting conversation very well. Most of the time when I'm on the spot I talk about the weather and national news maybe about some of my classes.
