I like the freshly washed smell and whether I buy more sheets now, or later, it does not really matter to me. /shrug
well you could do the laundry less often with more sheets. Also no problem if you don't have time a certain week, just throw in the basket.

When I was in Korea I slept on the floor my first year. I only had to roll up my floor mat and I was done! 🙂

Minimum. I hate rolling around in my own filth. I only use a pillow case twice at the most; once each side.

Wash your face before bed? If I'm that filthy I'd take a shower before bed. We probably wash the sheets every 2 weeks. Just washed them yesterday and I did make the bed this morning.

Someone told me this a long time ago, and it kind of stuck:

"If you make your bed every morning you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another.

By the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed. Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that little things in life matter."
How about, "If you successfully walk down the stairs in the goddamn early morning without falling, you will have accomplished the first task of the goddamn early morning."

Things like pride and accomplishment can be felt later in the day, usually after noon.

I do, but I really don't move when I sleep, so it's just folder the sheets back over.
Same here.

Except for when I somehow manage to, while sleeping, remove the middle layer (sheet, knitted afghan, comforter) and leave it in a neat line next to the bed. Then I wake up in the morning to find the remaining two layers still perfectly in place. The layers don't even slide past each other easily.
It's kind of weird.

Even so, I'm not in the bedroom unless I'm sleeping, and sleeping me doesn't give a damn about how neat the bed looks.

- Don't like tucked-in sheets. If the blankets aren't completely around me, I feel cold. In hotels, I always tug the thoroughly-tucked sheets out from under the bed.
- Making the bed is using up time for something that doesn't serve any practical purpose for me.

Yes the bed is made

I suspect it's more healthful to NOT make the bed, so that it air dries all day without any covering, and pillows out in full strong sunlight.

However, in order to set an example, yes the bed gets made.

What example and to whom is this example set?
