Who the hell makes their bed? You are just going to lay in it that night. I make my bed whenever I wash the sheets and that is it.

Every morning after I shower, assuming my wife isn't still in it.

It feels nice to get in crisp sheets. It's also a hold over from when we had cats.

I do, but I really don't move when I sleep, so it's just folder the sheets back over.

That's how it's done. Flip a corner over to crawl in, flip the same corner over to crawl out in the morning, flip it back down and the bed is made. Every once in a while sheets will track enough one way or another to expose mattress, but that takes five seconds to fix. I pity the fools that flail in their sleep.

Yep, that summarizes my bed making routine. Flip back cover, climb in. Snooze. Climb out, flip cover back up. All of 10 seconds to fix.

Every morning pretty much. Otherwise there will be two maine my excellent compatriot cat sized lumps under the covers that leave behind lots of hair.

I never make my bed. I threw it away. I sleep asian style.

Asian style is mattress and boxspring on the floor. This is true in 100% of Asian households I've been inside.

I don't make my bed. It remains made enough when I get out because I don't thrash around in my sleep. Also, even if I did, I wouldn't make it. On occasion, the GF will make it, but since she gets up before me, she usually doesn't.

I voted "Most of the time, or almost always", though I never make the bed, my wife does it regularly.

I do all the time. I like to have somewhere to throw my stuff down when I get home from work, and its easier to put it all on my bed if the bed is made. Also it feels like my room is 90% cleaner if the bed is made.

What about all the decorative pillows? :awe:

BTW-If you have two people sleeping in the bed it gets a little more messy than your scenario. ;)

I make all the beds I use that are not mine. I don't make mine at home unless I'm expecting company.

No, I throw the whole thing out every morning and start fresh. My annual mattress budget looks like the GDP of Liberia.

My wife is still sleep for another hour or two when I leave for work so she's the one that's always making the bed.

I just pull the sheets and blankets back up, no square corners or anything. I'd have to do it before going to bed anyways. Wife does the same thing, usually which ever one gets up last.

Someone told me this a long time ago, and it kind of stuck:

"If you make your bed every morning you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another.

By the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed. Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that little things in life matter."

That was in a speech by a military guy recently, like a General speaking at a graduation ceremony I believe.

To answer the OP, yes I make mine every morning. Like others I don't do any tucking, just pull the sheets and comforter up so it at least looks neat.

Yep, something I read it again at the beginning of the year, but I was told something similar to that in high school.

Making beds is wife duty (in our house) in the same way fixing car is husband duty so no I don't make my bed....ever.

Not at all. I'm one of those people who wakes up just early enough to get dressed, brush my teeth, grab my wallet/keys/phone, and go. It's the only way I actually enjoy work. If I wake up early enough to knock about the house, drink coffee, watch the news, make my bed, and generally get "settled in" at home, I resent having to go to work. I don't like the idea of having already been up for a while doing things before I even get started doing more things at work. I know it's kind of weird, but I feel like I have a set amount of productivity every day and I want to expend all of it at work rather than at home.
