Whenever i'm filling gas i find myself taking big deep breaths taking in the smell. I have to force myself to stop...I just love the smell...

When I was a kid I liked the smell of car exhaust... when regular (leaded) gasoline was still the norm...

Ya know that might explain a few things...

Snowmobiles here...two cycle engines...when they first start up...yeah i love that smell for some reason.

avgas and jp-8
only after its been through the engine though

I don't really like the smell of the liquid itself anymore

Back in the 80's when you could still buy leaded gas, we used to buy racing gas in Kannapolis, NC (several Nascar folks had/have shops out there). We would add 1 gallon to every 5 gallons in our tank and damn that smelled good 🙂

Some... but more than the sweet smell of gasoline, I love exaust fumes from late 70's, early 80's pickup trucks (pre Catalytic converter era)

No, but I absolutely LOVE the smell of road tar cooking. If I didn't know it were toxic, I'd sit beside one and sniff it all day long.

Brian Fantana: No, she gets a special cologne... It's called Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries... Yep, it's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good.
Ron Burgundy: It's quite pungent.
Brian Fantana: Oh yeah.
Ron Burgundy: It's a formidable scent... It stings the nostrils. In a good way.
Brian Fantana: Yep.
Ron Burgundy: Brian, I'm gonna be honest with you, that smells like pure gasoline.
Brian Fantana: They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.
