I look at the post count and the join date and do a quick mental calculation of posts per day. If their posts per day count too high, and the poster joined recently, I tend to weigh their opinions less.

Some other modifiers are the avatar, and signatures.

Lurking is a science.

I'd retort, but that would increase my post count. At any rate, analysis of your post count, avatar, join date, and profile indicate that you are probably right.
