Do you live in a test market city?

I do. Companies are always testing out new stuff here, especially snacks.

I always like to try out new things such as the Honey Mustard lays chips, 7up Tropical Splash, Humpty Dumpty XXX BBQ chips, etc.

anyone do this kind of stuff?

sometimes I even email them with my reviews on the products.

I know of a few food chains who have test stores in this area. Don't go to them too often as I dislike chain food (unless it's fast food and I have no time for better/real food).

There are places where companies gather and give out free supplies, but I don't think I'm in a test market (although, maybe I'm close to one!)

haha, you're right ... when I was walking through London last year, there was a big truck handing out a pringles style can with Doritos's.

I used to see test products/services/fresh rollouts when I was living in Portland, Oregon. Lots of young, poor, educated people craving free/cheap stuff.

Columbus, OH. I don't know if it still is, but it used to be huge for test marketing. Diverse and within 500 miles of half the U.S. population, IIRC. Lots of retail and fast food here.

i have also heard that, or at least wikipedia says so. never really seems like it to me, though.
