Do you like where you're at right now?

Do you like the city where you live right now or would you rather move someplace else? If so where and why?

I personally like where I live, and would only really consider moving to Dallas.

I live in Dallas. The heat is atrocious and the traffic sucks. There are better and worse place to live though. I like living in Dallas even with the problems.

Atlanta has kinda grown on me in my years here (13 and counting), but there are certainly other areas of the country where I'd rather live. Traffic has gotten horrible here, the smog has gotten quite bad in the last 5 years or so and I don't think I'll ever quite get used to the humidity during the summer. I'd much rather live out in Colorado somewhere (preferably one of the areas that isn't currently on fire).

I live in NYC. I suppose its nice to have just so much to do and have access to just about everything imaginable. But sometimes I wish I lived someplace a bit slower and more relaxing, with more fresh air.

I'm at college in UF and I have to say Gainesville is definately a great place to be during college. I really don't think I'll stay here after I graduate, don't think it's a good place to be once you're done with schooling.

Dallas, TX area, but far enough out that there's no public transportation, like the bus that killed my ex-husband-in-law:p

I'm doing a summer internship in Minneapolis (actually one of the NW suburbs), and I definitely want to move back here after I graduate next spring! The suburbs are very nice, and I can hopefully avoid the traffic by living close to wherever I work (by walking/biking to work). It's actually pretty nice - lots of "city-stuff" to do, great shopping, but, since it's Minnesota, there's a lot of outdoor stuff - lakes/woods & and all the associated sports that go with those. I'm definitely not a downtown person, but I could stand living in a nice quiet suburb for awhile :)

The only hard part would be housing - it's expensive! I'm afraid that I won't be able to afford housing anywhere near where I work (assuming I actually find a job - *fingers crossed*), which means i'll have to commute, and that would outright kill any benefits of living here (for me).

(I'm in huntsville, AL, not TX :)). It looks like we're either gonna move 90 miles south to birmingham, AL, or 850 miles to Ontario

I live in temple tx there isn't anything i do other than work and sleep here. I can't wait to get back to austin and go out and do stuff.

the biggest thing in temple is the hospital were i work i work here

i'd say it has 2-3x as much sq. ft as compared to our joke of a mall

In the same house with Skoorb? Who would? :p

You two might actually like Birmingham, it's a pretty nice place relative to the rest of Alabama.

If it wasn't for the blasted hot summers and ferocious humidity, I'd really enjoy Iowa, and more specifically the "Corridoor" area, much more. Iowa really is a decent place. One of the lowest crime rates in the nation, very reasonable standard of living, and quite a bit of job opportunities in my area.

The only real reason I would consider moving is to something a little more scenic, and way less humidity. I hear the Black Hills of South Dakota whispering my name.

Heck no! I wouldn't be me if I liked it. The ultimate goal of my life is to move to another country. It is a goal I've yet to achieve. I hate this place so much I want just cry. But I'm a man and men shouldn't cry like babies. Sometimes I think I will do anything, loose my life, everything, just to get out of here. I don't know how to do it, but heck I will do it anyway and I will do it pretty damn soon.

What country would that be?

I like where I live (in the Seattle/Tacoma area), but after my recent trip to Brazil I could easily imagine living there or any of a handful of other places.
