i like the city i live in, and even the particular area... the problem is all the people from out of town that like to come to the city during the workday and weekends that screws up the whole program.

nope, hate the place. its pretty-ish, and quiet, mostly, but theres jack all to do here other than get wasted or stoned.

eh, well you can also take your boat out, lots of room on the river. but the river is filthy. so i hate the place.

edit: mean the city, im open to moving to another part of NC once i finish school next year. i wont move further south

I have realized that where I live is not all that bad, and the city Detroit (proper) has a lot of potential that with the right folks in charge, it could be a wonderful downtown once again.
The state of Michigan itself has seen better days, but northern lower michigan is just breath-taking in every season. The coast line is beautiful on the east and west side of the state.
I am happy where I am.

Do I wish I could be somewhere else, sure. Ideally, I have a spot or two in mind and hopefully one day I will have the chance to move there.

I like where I live, but its nothing great (Dallas, TX)
I dream of moving elsewhere, waiting on job applications in Vegas, Seattle, and who knows where else..

I've never been "OMFG! I LOVE (snorgle) Modesto!!" but, for many years, it was ok...not bad, not great, and better than a few places we've lived over the years.
The past 5 or so years, the Mexican invasion has gotten out of hand...many (most?) of them illegal immigrants...bringing with them, high crime rates; car theft, robberies, shootings, drugs, etc., as well as becoming a huge burden on local services...not only the Welfare system, but on local clinics and hospitals where they receive services that they never pay for. Get in a car accident with one and you're fucked. Far too often, they don't have a driver's licence or insurance...then disappear back to Mexico rather than face the consequences.

We're getting tired of all the bullshit that goes along with living here. IF we could unload our house, we'd pack up and move...22 years in Kahleeforneeya is enough.
