"Professional" wrestling is just a soap opera for men.

I don't care to watch it myself but I don't discount all the physical ability, training and skill it takes to execute the acts.

i used to watch wrestling back in middle school. but it got really repetetive. i still turn it on time to time if i need a laugh or look at women in skimpy outfits

pro wrestling usually was a formula like this

wrestler1: IM GONNA KICK YOUR ASS
wrestler2: IM GONNA KICK YOUR ASS FIRST!
wrestler1: OK WE"RE GONNA SETTLE THIS, 3 WEEKS FROM NOW ON WWF NO MERCY!!!!!! (or whatever monthly pay per view is out)
story arc involves tag team partner or hot girl manager going against a person or vince mcmahon doing something crazy, rinse, wash repeat and youve had WWF/WWE ever since it was created :)

Nope, on every level. I went to school out in the midwest and REAL wrestling at the high school level were huge out there. Talking caravans going from one school to another to watch.

That was a great Nintendo 64 wrestling game. WWE sucks but those N64 wrestling games were a riot.

I mean the professional actors with lots of muscle who are "wrestlers" who do not wrestle, but instead do a bunch of fake moves on each other that look painful?

I don't watch it anymore, but "fake moves on each other that look painful" is laughable. Pro-Wrestling is harder on the body than any other "sport" out there. It might be scripted, but at the end of the night a wrestler has subjected himself to a lot of big bumps. Many are addicted to pain killers and can't function well without them.

About 16 years ago I wanted to be a wrestler, so I went to a wrestling school where U lasted 5 hours (1 day) I left limping and my back felt broke. And I never returned. You have to be tough as hell to be a Pro Wrestler, it's definitely nowhere near as easy as it looks.
