Information is usually cool. Presentation usually sucks.

Novels = teh roxor.

As a young child I loved to read. Even so, I hadn't seriously read novels since middle school. But then last summer I got into (you guessed it!):

The Wheel Of Time!

blah blah blah about how great it is.
blah blah blah about how everybody should read it.
blah blah blah the first book is The Eye of The World.

Now, go read and enjoy!

If you don't like it, I'll send you a piece of candy in the mail. That sounds like a safe way to encourage reading...

Yay! Another WoT fan :) I used to love that series... Jordan is dragging it out forever though. I think I'll re-read it again if he ever finishes it. The last book I read was book 9, and I heard book 10 sucked so I think I'll just hold off on WoT again for awhile. I really would like to read it again though (I usually read the series up to its current status once every year). I haven't read WoT in probably 2 years.... Argh!!!

Yup, Book 10 pretty much sucked. 600 pages of filler with about 2 or 3 parts that actually made it interesting. I loved the earlier books but Jordan is definitely dragging this out way too much.

That said, I don't know what I'd do without books. If I'm not reading something from my own collection, I'm reading something from the library. Just re-reading a bunch of James Ellroy's books at the moment. Just finished reading L.A. Confidential and am working on White Jazz again.

i've read up to Lord Brocktree.

it's a tad juvenile for me now, but it's some damn good light reading!

i love Jacques' descriptions of food and drink.

Reading is, by far, my favorite activity, second not to video games, cigars or even masturbation!

I actually wish I had more time to read, but I do a pretty good job of being a bookworm as it is; currently reading some textbooks, Plato - "The Laws", and Hobbes - "Leviathan".

Cheers!
