Since I have been using ebooks, I have increase the number of books I read by 10 times. I always have books on my computers, desktop or laptop, and I am usually sitting in front of a computer. I like to read when I'm listening to music at home and when I travel.

I love books, and loathe watching television. I have a few hundred books in my locker at work waiting to be read, but I have to finish this batch of library books first. :D

I ,ove reading, sometimes I stop for no real reaosn, then start again. Usually it's the same authors, there are a few who I've read loads of books by, can't get enough of them.
Clive Cussler, Terry Pratchett, Christian Jacqs, Stephen Leather, Jack Higgins, a bit of Clancy. The good thing is they've written lots of books :)

I sometimes get to the point where I can't stop reading because I want to find out what's going to happen, or I only have a hundred pages to go, and it's 11:30 on a school night, but I decide to finish the book anyway. Some books are engrossing like that.

Clive Cussler and Terry Pratchett RULE!

I'm currently reading Deception Point, by Dan Brown.

Everyone should read Dan Brown's Angels & Demons. VERY good book. It's the first adventure of Robert Langdon, the protagonist of The DaVinci Code (which is next on my list)

I just finished reading Life of Pi, a really interesting book about endurance and faith and things like that.

Neil Gaiman's stuff is also really cool. He's like the literary Tim Burton. Very imaginitive novels, very dark and noir and fun.

I love to read.

I usually have 2 or 3 books going at any one time.

Ditto. 2 novels, one nonfiction book, and one audio book (audible.com) is my normal distribution.

Sure. I don't have a lot of time for pleasure reading, though, with classes and the reading I have to do for those (which I don't enjoy). Reading used to be one of my favorite things to do as a child.

Yeh, I still read quite a bit, even though college and 15 hours of work a week take up most of my time. I read about 2 books a month on my own plus the 3 a month for classes.

Most of the books for my reading/writing/gen ed class. The books are generally good though just finished Siddhartha for the class.

As a young child I loved to read. Even so, I hadn't seriously read novels since middle school. But then last summer I got into (you guessed it!):

The Wheel Of Time!

blah blah blah about how great it is.
blah blah blah about how everybody should read it.
blah blah blah the first book is The Eye of The World.

Now, go read and enjoy!

If you don't like it, I'll send you a piece of candy in the mail. That sounds like a safe way to encourage reading...

Yay! Another WoT fan :) I used to love that series... Jordan is dragging it out forever though. I think I'll re-read it again if he ever finishes it. The last book I read was book 9, and I heard book 10 sucked so I think I'll just hold off on WoT again for awhile. I really would like to read it again though (I usually read the series up to its current status once every year). I haven't read WoT in probably 2 years.... Argh!!!

I thought I had found a quote that fit me on a bookmark that came in a box of books from Amazon.Com, turns out they modified the quote though. The bookmark says, "When I get a little money I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes." -Erasmus

Turns out the real quote is, "I have turned my entire attention to Greek. The first thing I shall do, as soon as the money arrives, is to buy some Greek authors; after that, I shall buy clothes." It's from a letter to Jacob Batt dated April 12, 1500.

He did make a couple of other statements I rather agree with, though. :D

"I consider as lovers of books not those who keep their books hidden in their store-chests and never handle them, but those who, by nightly as well as daily use thumb them, batter them, wear them out, who fill out all the margins with annotations of many kinds, and who prefer the marks of a fault they have erased to a neat copy full of faults."

"Do not be guilty of possessing a library of learned books while lacking learning yourself." From a letter to Christian Northoff.

It really comes down to finding a subject/genre that interests you, then finding an author that writes in the aforementioned area.

Man, i really need to get back to reading.
The last few books i read in my spare time were:

The Lexus and the Olive Tree by Thomas Freidman
Expect the Unexpected (Or You Won't Find It): A Creativity Tool Based on the Ancient Wisdom of Heraclitus
A couple of Stephen Covey titles.

I really want to read more Shakespheare, i read Macbeth when i was in my teens.. i remember the red/black color thing and how the forest 'moved' to the castle Dunsinane or whatever..(don't laugh plz)

Recommend me a work of Shakespheare that you think i might enjoy (keep in mind that i enjoyed Macbeth)

I read a lot of techie stuff.. right now i have been glued to this site that's about online marketing/advertising
