I love to read. Right now I am working through Robert Heinlein's collection.
Everyone here should at least try to read "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" or "Stranger in a Strange Land".
And Huxley's "Brave New World", Orwell's "1984".
Reading is my pastime, I may turn on the TV one or two days a week (thanks, TIVO), but I read every day.
edit: Textbooks do suck, though. Actually, one of the things I think is always true is anything you are
forced to read sucks. I recommend "1984", but couldn't finish it in college when it was assigned reading. You should also read Ayn Rand's "
Anthem". It's much shorter and easier to digest than some of her other works (250pgs vs 750pgs for "Atlas Shrugged").
