Well, I love the single-malt variety. The mixed stuff sucks.

vatted malts aren't that bad cause they're a blend of only single malts ...

see johnny walker green or blue ...

I can't even get close to bourbons. The strength of flavor doesn't agree with my stomach.

I do like scotch but I can't drink it without a little coke or something in it to tone it down. I'm planning on buying a single malt bottle next time I have money, right now I'm to low on cash though. I'll just pace myself on my famous grouse bottle.

Beer is much smoother to the palate.

No.

Most beer sucks ass, and even really good beer is not even close to a mediocre alcohol.

What's a mediocre alcohol? That doesn't even make sense. You probably had a Guiness or Blue Moon once and think that's all there is to beer. Stick to your mediorce liquors and frozen daiquiris

Just don't get red (worst) or black (mediocre).

Maybe it's just me, but black label was terrible (in comparison to a nice bottle of scotch and some nicer bourbon).

I love a good Scotch. Right now I have a nice bottle of 12 year old Macallan I'm slowly working on.

I used to like it but in recent years I seem to have lost my taste for all whiskeys.

Yep, Whisky and beer does the trick for me. If you are feeling adventurous, try an Islay malt, you either love it or hate it (Ardberg is one of a few distilleries that do the Islays). Other then that, enjoy the single malts, but get the blended ones too for when you have had a few malts and can't appreciate the differences, lol, or if you mix it (otherwise a waste of a malt).

Cheers

Whoah I forgot about this.

You can buy big brands in pints at some liquor stores but I only buy in fifths or handles. If you're unsure which to buy you can hit up a local bar and try some out or maybe just ask a manager or specialist at the liquor store.

I like scotch, but it's definitely an acquired taste. I'm also big on Maker's Mark...

Both go great with smoking cigars....

I have a 1L bottle of Johnny Walker Black that I'm slowly working on. Usually have a glass a week and have a beer 2 or 3 times. I'm a beer drinker, love the taste of it. Alcohol usually doesn't agree with me, but for some reason JWB hits the spot.

I prefer masking to scotch. It sticks better and it is easier to write on.
