I mix a big scoop of vanilla flavored whey protein in with a glass of milk right after my morning workout. Tastes pretty good and makes for a good start for breakfast.
I get around 32 grams of protien and 50% of my daily calcium in under 225 calories.
I take two optimum nutritions a day, chocolate. I've tried a lot of other flavors, but this is the only one I actually like. It actually is really good..
For those that are afraid of fat or carbs, Ergopharm GF Pro is supposedly fantastic as well. I haven't been able to find it in Canada yet (i haven't really been looking too hard, since i already have quite a bit of protein atm), so i can't say how good it really is... but it's been getting rave reviews.
Dont drink protein shakes unless youre actually going to work out. A buddy of mine was a manager on the basketball team at school, so he got free protein shakes all the time for another freind of ours, who liked the taste. Said freind gained 27 pounds first semester, because he never worked out, but drank tons of shakes. Sucked for him, buf funny as hell, needless to say... 😀
