I am a proud Liberal/Atheist....

If people feel the need to bash me for not believing in their god, especially a genocidal maniac like the Bible suggests, even though I will get flamed for these comments, I find the Bible very hypocritical and the followers of the Bible very hypocritical. I frankly will not believe in bullsh1t, I do not think our anthem should be changed especially to some stupid christian song that only helps divide this nation instead of unifying it. Those of you who do think that your faith is the only faith to follow, or believe that others are stupid for not believing; those people disgust me and insult everything that is american. For this is a nation of TOLERANCE! I will not have a bunch of neocon churchies screwin this nation up. I will move to Canadia before that happens... And boy do I like makin fun of Canadia.

Nuff said.

Attending and watching many hockey games in my life, strictly musically speaking, I think I prefer the Canadian one... ;)

How about warpigs by Black Sabbath ;)

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields are bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds, Oh Lord yeah

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight
They leave that all to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait til the judgement day comes

Now in darkness world stops turning
As you hear the bodies burning
No more warpigs have the power
And as God has struck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees the warpigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan laughing spreads his wings, Oh Lord yeah

How is it not logical that our Anthem be changed to something more in keeping with this new spirit.
Yes, we will smote the heathen muslim hordes from the earth just like the Romans sundered the barbarian hordes and then we Americans will take our place amongst gods. In Jesus name. Amen.

Why not go all the way with Die Fahne hoch?

Really? OK then, why don't we split the difference and go with Hatikvah, since that's what this war is really all about anyway?

How about "My Sharona" ?

"...
It is just a matter of time Sharona
Is it just destiny, destiny?
Or is it just a game in my mind, Sharona?
..."

I think the term bigot is overused.

Maybe in general but not in P&N

Actually, most people "screw it up" while singing it, as it's a classic example of deliberate misinterpretation... And be careful you don't get demonized as a socialist/marxist/communist, by Galt and others, for even suggesting it.

No, I am prejudiced about some things. I realize that I am prejudiced and the feelings and reactions are wrong. I tell myself that what I feel is irrational and unjustified. Then I try to act accordingly in a positive and correct manner.

You are an open bigot.

Right, because not only does "This Land is My Land" sound very Communistic, but the author was actually extremely anti-property rights. Read the latter verses of that song some time.

Instead of taking the chance of sounding like Godless Commies, we should just add God to the current anthem.

get with the times...we're not WORRIED about the godless commies anymore.

Instead we worry about those darn fanatic muslims and their interference with proper US business.

As such, the national anthem should be "This Land is My Land, So Stay Out You Filthy Immigrants".
