I don't put onions on my pizza because there already are onions in the tomato sauce. So yes I put onions on my pizza...in a sense. I make my own pizza including the sauce and crust because I am disappoint in frozen pizza. Take out pizza is ok though. No onions as a topping on that either. At least not as a separate topping.

I like how nobody voted "I don't like Pizza" even after 100 votes. guess there still are things one does not joke about.

Onions, bell pepper, and mushrooms is a great pizza. Not one I'd order, but home made everything and no meat in the house, it's great.

If I made a sausage, mushroom and onion pizza it would be very good.

If I then put carmalized onions on it out of the oven it would be better.

If I then put finely diced red onion on it were approaching best.

Then I would add some finely minced shallots or green onions just to make it better than best.

I can't stand onions on anything. Onions have such a strong bitter taste. It's like chewing on paper that was dipped in cat pee or something. The only time I'll eat onions is if it's part of a sauce or something where it's bitterness is masked because of everything else in the sauce. Like when I make a spaghetti sauce, I will put onions in it, but I don't actually taste them.

They're actually kinda sweet if you cook them.

try some of the sweet onions like Vidalia.

To everyone talking about how good mushrooms and onions on pizza are, what kind of mushrooms do you put on top? Just raw mushrooms, or do you saute them first?

An all time favorite pizza for me is onion and green pepper. You can't really get another flavor in there b/c it spoils the delicacy of the entirety of the flavor of the onion (rather than just the heights of the flavor). I always get onions on pizza if I can help it.

Of course I love an onion, green pepper, mushroom and pepperoni also. Just don't make it Papa John's or Pizza Hut. Might as well eat Chucky Cheese's.
