Do you like my new phone?

Here's my Samsung z flip 6. I don't think it should have been priced at 1k tho. 600 dollars seems fair, like the moto razr. Actually moto razr flip should be even cheaper

Got it with the help of people. Didn't pay all of it myself

I will take care of it as it was an organ in my body

Very pretty. I have the 4 and I did a comparison with 6. When they shave the weight from 6.6 oz (187g), I'll get another one.

Other than that, they're comparable. The obvious diff is that mine only has a half (techically 1/4) screen on the outside. They did make some technology upgrades though. The biggest is the resolution of the main camera - a whopping 50MP vs 12 for the main camera. The other cams have identical or in one case, a couple MP more.

There are also several marginal improvements - full 5g support, an extra wifi band (ax), barometric sensor, slightly higher refresh rate.

here's the list https://www.phonearena.com/phones/c...-4,Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-6/phones/11897,12290

Oh, and in terms of bodily organs, feel free to sell your appendix and tonsils. In fact, you're probably better off w/o either.

That's hard to say since I don't use it 30 times per day like most people. But I've had it for a couple of years now with no problem.

One thing you will most likely eventually notice is a reinforcing strip across the main screen. It took about a year to show up so if they still think that's necessary and use your phone a lot, you might end up seeing that - or not. Personally I don't even notice it, mostly. But if you have a perfectionist bent and can't ignore it, that might get on your nerves.

I think it's a small price to pay for a phone I can just slip easily into a back pocket. It's definitely not light enough for a front pocket though.

Did not get rid my my budget Galaxy, A13 5g. It's synced with my main phone to interact with each other in some ways. The budget phone has much more value than the flip being priced at 65 dollars

Now we're talking. Bottom-mid is where I like my phones. They do everything I need well enough, and it isn't a huge tragedy if something happens to it. I'd need a real good reason to pay more than $250 for a phone, and it's usually <$200. I've been digging Motorolas lately. Fairly stock android, and the addons they provide are actually useful. A shame about the shitty update schedule though.

I have the 5. Hate the camera. It's a garbage camera.
Yeah, for quality photos, you still need SLR. But now you can get rid of the R (reflex) for most high end cameras.

I still have my original Canon Rebel - first one so no version number. "Only" 8MP although it does have RAW mode.

Yeah, got the flip to flex probably. Nothing wrong with my budget galaxy. Does what I need, plays music, plays videos, takes and recieves calls/text. Thing I don't like about it is it's only 64 gb storage with no way to upgrade it's local storage. You can add a micro sd card but some functions don't work well installed on micro sd's

My flip has around 500 gb local storage

Anyway, recorded a piano video with my new flip phone

I just hate full size phones. Until I was in my 30's mobile phones were mostly car phones and as big as a breadbox (remember those?). Those old Sony brick phones I think started showing up in the early 80s - at least around here in the boondocks of NJ. So I think I gradually morphed into thinking 'small is beautiful.'

And the flip really is adorable as well as functional - not the usual combination of adjectives you'd expect. At one it was my primary internet source for a couple of months (long story).

Also, when I stopped wearing cargo pants and shorts, a full size phone wasn't something I felt like dealing with. And at my weight, I was never ever going to trust a standard flat phone in a back pocket.

I like big phones, but one of my more important uses is looking at pdf blueprints on my phone. The newer skinny form factor(whatever it is) of phones is annoying. My Stylus5G is as long as I'd want a phone, but it would be nice to have a bit more width. Also, bigger bezels. I'm completely unimpressed with the micro bezels on phones. Makes it hard to hold without a case, and hard to access screen edges when cased. It's negative functionality that's only there cause it looks impressive. It's like Star Trek transparent displays. Looks cool and futuristic, but would make you homicidal if you had to use one.

Why are other people paying for your fancy fone?

I believe eating meat is morally wrong. I eat meat cause it taste good. Dodging employment feels good

I noticed you can't do that much on the screen when its closed. I'd like to control pandora radio for example when its closed. No app functions. Need to open it
.

Will Samsung improve this?

That's how I've been doing it, when a new phone is needed, I've gotten a flagship that's 1-2 years out of date for $200-250ish.

His mom helped pay for his new PC too. Nice gig if you can get it, I suppose.

Gawd forbid he should actually get a job and buy his own stuff like an adult.

Really? Did you know you cannot watch any programs when the tv is not on?

I could record, take pics and talk on the phone when it's closed. I could use the alarm clock and check date, calander when it's closed. I could check some msgs when it's closed. That's about it. Wish there was more you can do. I should be reducing the amount of times it should open and close for the sake of the hinge health
