I've never liked Outlook, email is supposed to be simple, Outlook's setup has never been logical to me. Overall it lacks many features, and if it didn't come bundeled with Office or Windows (if you use express) I don't think many people would buy it, or use it. Eudora owns all over it, I don't like the newer Eudoras much, but they're still leaps and bounds better then Outlook. I can set up a filter in Eudora in 20 seconds that'll send my phone a text message when I get a new email from a certian email address. Does Outlook even have scripting? I can't say I've used Outlook 2003 for more then a couple minutes. But, it just didn't do anything for me the few time I've used it*shrug*

useful only if you use the advanced features. security aside and assuming you just want an email client, do yourself a favor and use Outlook Express, Thunderbird or Eudora.

I think it's great. One central place for all my mail. Calendar for dates and events. Tasks for stuff I need to do. Notes for random things I need to jot down.

I've been using outlook since version 95, and although it's never been perfect, I find it highly usable. I rarely use many of the advanced features, but I have no reason to switch.

Could not do my job without it. Shared calandars, sync'ed mail and calandar to my smart phone, cached mode, junk filters, search folders, etc. If you have live communications server (LCS) and office communicator, the integration excellent (Free/busy info is available in Communicator, OOF messages, etc).

There is nothing that comes close to Outlook 2003/Exchange 2003 in terms of business email/calandaring/collaboration.

I have it (my mom is an MSDN subscriber), but have never used it. Is it worth switching over from Thunderbird to Outlook2K3? I don't like bloated interfaces, and only check my mail (don't need calenders, etc.).

I love Outlook and use just about ever feature that it offers. The only "quirk" that I don't like is the inability to quickly switch between profiles, but that's pretty minor in the scheme of things.

For corporate email, I love it. The cached Exchange mode works great, and I love the fact that I can connect to our Exchange server via HTTP using XP and Outlook 2003.

I use Outlook XP at home mostly because the calendar features are so useful.

There are some things that I would change ... I'm not a huge fan of the PST format (although it's improving), exporting options are pretty dismal and message rules are limited. But as a whole it works pretty well.

I'm in the process of updating everyone in our company to 2003 from 2000.

I get some weird problems with chapura and hotsync sometimes. I have a guy who is getting duplicate contacts, notes, calendar, and journal folders and it won't let me delete them. I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to get rid of the empty folders since it won't let me delete them.

I like outlook 2003. It works great on my setup. I check like 5 different email accounts with it, It could be 6, but not right now.

After I started using the calander on it, i was hooked. The contacts are useful.
Also, Since I was given a copy of Office 2003 Pro, i figured i Might as well use it.
