I prefer lamb chops over pork chops. I just wish it wasn't so tough and stringy sometimes.

You have to get the loin lamb chops, which are pricey and at least twice as expensive as the lesser chop cuts, but well, well worth it. They are anything but tough and stringy, in fact, they are the epitome of tenderness. And don't forget the mint jelly on the side! Terribly English, what what, and my fav meal growing up.

Frenched and chined please. ;)

Do a cast iron skillet super hot fast cook like a filet mignon. Incredible.

I'm Greek, so of course I love it. Lamb meat and potatoes in the oven... omg! The lamb becomes so tender that a fork can cut through the meat with ease. It just melts in your mouth. :)

EDIT: We're having it today, if my dad can find it. He just called and said Ralph's is out of lamb... wtf?

EDIT2: We have found some lamb. My mom's cooking it now. :D

Hmm. It's good, but it's different. Meat was very tender but it has different odor and texture which is acquired taste IMO. I think I still prefer steak and pork ribs over it. I will save this recipe for the holiday gathering.

Lamb >>>>>>>>>>>>> Beef (especially for kebabs)

I still love me some steak though...

It's over done. Try again. I'm not criticizing, I'm just saying it's over done to appreciate lamb.

no, i dont like the odor lamb meat has.

I can't stand the odor either (smelled, and definitely when tasted). It's so revolting to me that even a quick whiff will have me backing away.

Love it. Use to hate it cause I only ever had it steamed, but once you eat roasted lamb, you wish it weren't so expensive.

I have to agree, once the flesh turns past pink like in those pics, its past done. Some lamb chops seared quickly and finished for a couple of minutes in the oven might be a better way to get started on lamb.

No lamb, no sheep, no goat...well, unless it's BBQ'd anyway.
I've had both lamb and mutton and never cared for either one. Meat's meat, so I'm not against eating either one, but they both left a greasy film in my mouth that I didn't care for...otherwise...flavor wasn't bad, texture was ok, (lamb was much better, but still greasy) and the only goat I've had (that I know of anyway) was BBQ'd and delicious.

hell yeah. I don't like to eat it a lot (the smells gets to me), but if eaten occasionally, it is delicious.

Yup. I don't like the smell though but that's why I eat Chinese cooked lamb meat where they drench it in sauce so it's not that bad smelling. The tenderness is excellent. Of course I still prefer beef any day.

I'm following AB's Silence of the Leg O' Lamb recipe.

That was my first lamb recipe as well. I wasn't too big on the mustard based sauce, but I do like lamb.

I just finished off some lamb chops the other day. Good stuff.

Lamb kepabs are the greatest food of all time. The greatest creation of all time also.
