Do you like Fox's 24?

I heard its ratings are not so good, but I really like the show. The pace is very fast and does not let up at all. Also each episode ends on a cliffhanger, very cool. Anyone else watch it? I know its at the sametime as smallville for me, but I record smallville. 😀

I've been watching it off and on, I can say I was impressed with the episode last week. Yes, it was cheesy, but not nearly as cheesy as the shows that usually try to pull off the "action movie" effect.

I missed the first few episodes so I never bothered to watch. I figured I missed to much of the plot already. Can you give a quick run down on what it's about. Or even better why is it named 24?

i think its the best TV show ever, besides the simpsons. it's the only show i've ever looked forward to every week.

both my wife and I love the show. It's an interesting concept.. to make a show, where the entire season is based on one 24hour period. the acting is what is keeping the show afloat. the story is getting a bit slow, or labored. all in all.. a nice show.. with there be a second season? what will they call that? 24+24=48? or 24, the second season (day)?

It's a decent show. Only problem is you only have to watch the last 20 minutes of the show to figure out everything that's happend.

Official 24 Episode Guide

Heh. I've seen like 4 or so threads in ATOT since the show came out asking this very question. I always seem to post in all of 'em too in hopes that someone on ATOT is part of a Nielson family. 🙂 Awesome show. I'm so used to not watching TV that I've set up a reminder in Outlook to remind me to watch this show, cuz I love it so much. The last show I watched religiously was Party of Five. I'm glad that remained on due to fan support. Hopefully 24 will be the same way, despite lackluster ratings. I would've loved it if this was the show right after the Superbowl, esp. to convince new ppl. that they could jump in and watch at any point and be caught up.

I think it's a great show. The problem with their ratings is that you really need to have watched it from the first episode. I've recommended it to a bunch of friends but they get discouraged because they haven't seen all of the episodes.

oh yeah, i havent' missed an episode yet

sucks that people still dont' wanna watch because, well, frankly, it's hard to miss so much and then join in halfway through...no matter what FOX tells ya!

i hear that if the show stays they'll probably move to one of those "entire episode in an hour" type of shows (i.e. EVERY OTHER SHOW OUT THERE)

but, if they keep up the pace, i'll still watch.

man, i seriously think TV is full of crap these days, yet i sit on the edge of my seat every tuesday night watching 24...so FOX must be doing SOMETHING right!

The only things I watch on TV are 24 and The West Wing, along with the Simpsons, King of the Hill, and Seinfield re-runs. Oh, and The Philadelphia Eagles, and the The Philadelphia Phillies (but much less so, management sucks) in season.

So, yeah, I like 24 . . . it's taut, well casted and well acted, and I like the multi-screen effect. Still, I have missed a couple of episodes even though they air each twice each week, and I could easily give up all TV (and do, when my life is busier) except Da Birds (Eagles).

Go Birds!

I've only seen it a few times, but I liked the ones that I saw... The problem with it is that you can't miss an episode if you want to know what is going on.

The real-time multiscreen effect really works. The pace of the show is so fast, it does keep you on the edge of your seat. No down time.

My wife and I love the show. My wife gets frustrated at how they drag things out though.

I will say if it weren't for TIVO, I'd probably never watch it because it is the most commercial laced show out there, or so it seems.

Oh yah, and btw, my wife said that she guesses next season would be called, "24", with Jack saying "Today will be second longest day in my life."

I tape Smallville just so I can watch 24 😀 And I wouldn't say things are dragged out - I mean hell if he rescued his wife in an hour you wouldn't have much of a tv show now wouldcha? 😀

Great show. It's one of my favorite shows on TV, up there with Family Guy, South Park, & the Simpsons.

Definitely the best non-comedy on TV right now, IMO.
