Yeah, bras on cars are the worst looking and just plain dumbest thing you can put on there.

The bra will either cause the paint to not fade(while the rest of the paint will) or will scratch it up itself, or both. Oh, and it looks like crap. If you're driving on a rock road everyday, I don't know why you'd be more worried about the front of your car as the rest is gonna get dinged or scratched all the same.

As long as the car is still young, it should be alright without a bra. Once they start to get older, though, you'll find that the headlights will start to sag a bit, and it becomes a necessary evil.
