My question is do you like Durian? The smell is off putting yes, but it tastes so good though!!!! All my friends and family hate it and I swear the whole world hates it too, wtf is wrong with you it smells bad doesn't mean it taste bad!

I eat it all the time if I can but it's sooooooooo expensive in the UK. It cost around £30 in Chinatown :(

My top 3 fruits in the world. It's so creamy and sweet. Definitely give it a try if you have not. :)

The smell is something I find sweet smelling, it's something I grew up with. I love durian, especially durian ice cream or candy.

I have mixed feelings on durian. To me it has a slightly citrus taste with a custard consistency and I find I can eat it and enjoy it yet at the same time there's something vaguely revolting about it...like along the lines of eating sour cream that's been sitting out too long on a hot day: it tastes just like it should but something inside you is saying "STOP!!!"

I love Durian flavor goods such as ice cream and cookies but I can't eat durian straight from the fruit. Too mushy and too strong for me.

Taste great, but hate the blast of fart in every bite. I prefer a similar tasting fruit - jackfruit.

Never tasted. Have been in the same building as someone eating/cutting Durian and I wanted to hurl/cut myself.

Jessica Chastain likes it...

The one fruit Andrew still cant stand.

this guy eats raw sheep heart, raw sheep eyes, raw fish guts, raw goat baws basally all teh disgusting food he ate, he liked but he don't like Durain? I am shocked! I never seen that episode btw. Also my advice is eat Durian cold. Put it in freezer for couple hours then eat it. Yummy :)

I've only had durian ice cream (Vietnam). It really didn't have anything that I would consider good. The rest of the ice creams in the same shop were fantastic, so, I didn't blame it on the ice cream part. The smell, while not great wasn't that bad. It was the taste that just made me want to gag.

Maybe it can only be truly tasted in the pure-fruit form. But why? When there are thousands of things that just taste fantastic without any off-putting flavors or smells, why bother with durian?

He even tried it for a second time, he wanted to be fair. Same outcome, its just his Kryptonite.

i have never tasted or smelled durian.

I ate a "Starfruit" for the first time this week, the mother in law likes em so she brought some over the other day, quite tasty.

I like starfruit. The taste and texture reminds me of a little of plums, but more citrus-y and in a nifty shape.

I'd like to try it for the experience, but not at £30 a fruit. I might go $6, but I've never seen it at any price.

Just remembered that Jessica Chastain shared Durian with Jimmy Kimmel -- she posted about it on her Instagram prior.

I don't like durian at all as a fruit. The stink is horrible. The taste isn't quite so bad, but it's still bad. I had a durian milk shake once that was tolerable though. Not exactly good, but at least it didn't make me feel like puking.

Jackie Chan vs. durian

One fruit I like that is hard to find is mangosteen. Dragonfruit can also be good, but it has to be perfectly ripe. If less than ripe it's not good, and if it's too ripe it's also not good.
