I used to but there are just too many idiots on the road who don't pay attention. Even when I'm out on an open road its just a matter of time until I encounter some ahole in a 70mph zone going 65.000015mph in the fast lane to pass someone going 65mph
 
I don't mind it when it's not in traffic. I can't stand being in traffic.

That said, my goal when driving is to get where I need to go as fast as possible safely. I can't stand people who are out there lolly gagging on the road as if they don't want to get where they are going. That shit grinds my gears.

And yes the slow assholes in the fast lane also grind my gears.
 
Hate it about 90% of the time. The other 10% I'm on a country road, with cool air, good music, and almost no one else on the road.
 
Not really. I love driving on Autobahn sections in Germany where I can really drive and there are way less people on the road, but that's about it. Driving is a boring, tedious chore for me otherwise

I'm a professed lolly gagger, I want to get where I'm going but I don't really care when I get there. 🙂

I mostly like riding my bicycle.
 
yup..too many idiots texting/paying attention to their phones and an increase in the number of asshole rude drivers out there...

Too many roads are messed up.
My car isnt really FUN in the traditional car sense.
I do not like driving.

I used to enjoy mountain climbing, until I sold my truck.
 
Love driving on wide open highways... of which there are plenty in the southern part of the country! Like the long road trips. Driven a lot in TX, CO, NM, AZ, NV and CA, beautiful places, beautiful roads...
HATE driving in city traffic.
 
I originally thought no, but I think the answer is yes. I enjoy the freedom an autonomy of having a car, but I also enjoy the act of driving, especially when the weather is nice or if it is dark and peaceful outside, I find a night time drive to be very relaxing.

I don't mind driving...as long as it's not in city traffic.

As a commercial driver, I have over 500,000 accident free, ticket free miles...and I've put about that many on my personal vehicles over the years...maybe more.

Nowadays, 10,000 miles per year is usually stretching it...some years, 5000 miles is about it. I'm heading out in the motorhome in a couple of days, but it's a short trip, about 125 miles each way...probably close to 3 hours of driving time in the motorhome. (I almost NEVER drive faster than 60 MPH in this thing...the faster I go, the worse the gas mileage, and when GOOD mileage is 7.5 mpg...I tend to baby it, just a bit.

Yes & no. I drive about 2,000 miles a month right now & just went back to a stick-shift, haha. But I would definitely love to have a self-driving car for highway use. Sometimes I get stuck on jobs until after midnight & really don't feel like driving an hour home, it would be great to have an automated helper in those types of situations.
 
No choice but to drive. Even though I work at the largest employer in the city, there is no public transportation to my work. I did try the bus system once to go downtown. What is normally a 15 minute drive took 3 hours by bus with numerous transfers.
 
I love driving, but I live in flyover country, and don't have to deal with bad city traffic. On the times I have to, I loath driving through Chicago.

Otherwise, I love driving, and purposely plan long family vacations that require multi state trips.

I will agree with you Exterous, and feel that there should be jail time for habitual left lane campers.
 
If I'm driving to the coast or the mountains with the windows down and tunes cranked it's awesome. If I'm running errands in town or going to work it's effing terrible.

Beats sitting in the car twiddling thumbs. But in traffic I'll just sit in the car twiddling thumbs. Automated cars will be a bit of a pain to live with (too much rule-following), but not when in traffic.
 
I love mythical unicorn driving: you know, the kind that you see only in car commercials where there are these long, empty, windy roads out in some un-mapped land where dragons live or the zombie apocalypse has wiped out the human population and downtown Chicago is left completely uninhabited and, miraculously, without corpses and roaming zombies and sinew, unattended vehicles, trash, and bum feces.

I hate actual driving. The kind that 99% of the world experiences 99% of their time in a car where you are surrounded by idiots driving themselves and only themselves in their stupid cars to some pointless place for no discernible purpose, believing they are the only person on the road and, therefore, no rules apply to them.
