Do you like driving a manual car?

I have never had anything other than a manual. I don't think I'll get an automatic until I have kids. It'll be nice to have that extra hand to smack the little one around 😉

Love manual cars. My current car is a manual, and the "feeling" cannot be beat. You feel like you are so much more in control of the car. They feel faster (and are faster than there auto counterparts 😛), you can get better gas mileage, and you can engine brake to help save on your brake wear. Plus it's an assurance that you will always have something more to do when you drive! 😛

Agreement on all points. All three of my vehicles are manual. Only time I would consider a car with auto tranny is in heavy traffic as mentioned previously.

I drive a stick but rowing through the gears in traffic can be in a pain when you just want to get home.

Although driving a manual car has it's fun moments, I really wish I had an automatic, I hate stop and go traffic while driving a manual.

I don't really understand this argument.

I had to drive an automatic for awhile(rental car). It still sucked in stop and go traffic. Why do people think automatics are better for stop and go traffic?

every car except the one I have now have been manuals... and now I hate my auto in this car.. going to do a 5 speed swap ASAP in it..
