Do you like cilantro?

I love cilantro. I agree that it tastes soapy, but cilantro and cumin are probably the two most important things that make Mexican food taste Mexican! The nearest, most authentic taqueria to me loads all their stuff with it....yum.....

cilantro + chopped onion + lime juice = very good topping for all sorts of things (from fajitas to indian food)

I think it sucks. CPK puts it on their BBQ Chicken Pizza and I always order it without it.

Anyone ever smoke it? I wonder if you can smoke Cilantro 🙂

Yes. Pace Cilantro salsa is our current favorite salsa.
Wow. People really eat salsa out of a jar? :disgust:
I make mine or get it from a local mexican store/resturant. They make it fresh everyday. I look forward to Sundays. 49ers, fresh salsa and beer. 😀

There is at least one chemical I know of that has no taste of tastes bitter depending on the presence or absence of a gene.

Yea I read about that too in my searches on cilantro and genetics. So it would not be that far fetched that the same might be true for cilantro. I find the differences in people's opinion on it amazing. People either love it, or hate it. And, the people who love it can't understand why the people that hate it don't like it, and vice versa. It is such a vile taste to me that I am amazed that people can like it, so I am convinced that I do not taste it the same as they do.
