Do you like cake?

wow those are awesome.

why don't these cake designers have a TV show on food network? they're obviously a lot more skilled than the Charm City guys (though I love the Charm City cakes guys)

I hate rolled fondant icing and don't even think it looks good (it's easier for them because they're lazy). I hate how half the cakes they make on the cake TV shows aren't even edible. They tend to make things out of Rice Krispie bars... If I shell out that much money for a cake, I want a real cake with real frosting, not rice krispie bars with fondant.

Very nice cakes. My mother was quite good at making cakes, but her designs were much simpler like the House we were living in and such. Takes a long time to make fancy cakes like that, which is why they're hard to find.

Some of the most beautiful cakes I've eaten have tasted the worst. Spending all that time on making a cake an art project often results in dry, hard and flavorless. Give me ugly, moist and delicious every time.

My wife used to do birthday and other small cakes like this as a side business. At the time (15 yrs. ago) there really wasn't anybody doing these fancy small cakes professionally. You could go to someone that did wedding cakes, but the price was outta this world.

I don't really care for the taste of fondant but some of those cakes by Debbie are totally surreal. I enjoyed looking at them and reading some commentary on the work that went into them.
