Bowling is the ONLY class I look forward to everyweek. My game has improved so much over the past year. I rolled a 245 two weeks ago, but could have had much higher, but opened in the 10th which I am still kicking myself over. The TA bought beers for anyone that had over a 200, but I am only 20 so I had to pass 😛 I had like an 7 bagger going into the 9th and just choked . I try and bowl about 3 times a week, but I have cut down recently due to college.
Bowling is a college class?

Of course it is! At UVM, you must complete two gym credits to graduate. I took Bowling 1-2 last semester, and Bowling 3-4 this semester. They might even do a 5-6 level class for the first time in the fall, which I would also take 😛 Great class.

im terrible, so i avoid bowling at all costs. probably because when i was little i just followed other people and bowled right-handed, but im a lefty, so yeah....its not a pretty sight

i love it

i used to bowl 4 nights a week and carry a 207 average

btw, i originally read the thread title as "do you like blowing?"

i used to bowl.... havent been in years

i know there's a place at universal city walk that's supposed to be okay.. probably overpriced though!

They have a bowling class at my school, too.. along w/ inexpensive lanes to play at in the student union 😀 never done it thougH 🙁

I think it's fun. We did a family outing thing a year or so ago and had a blast. I'm an average bowler but normally do pretty well.

I recommend going to Gable House on Hawthorne Blvd. & Sepulveda in Torrance. Great facility. Also, the last 3 times I've gone bowling I've headed to Long Beach @ Gameworks....they have new lanes there, very nicely decorated with huge screens and music playing all the time. Bowling is cool....even if I don't bowl over 100 😀 My best game ever has been a 158 wooohooooo!

Oh, does that bring back memories.

I used to live in Torrance.

I think there's a bowling alley near Valley and New Ave. in the city of Alhambra. But I can't tell you much about it since I've never been inside.

EDIT: As for the game itself, it's ok. I'd rather play minature golf. 😀

I'll confirm that this alley is terrible. Dry lanes.

Look in yellow pages for a Brunswick lanes and call for specials. Usually they have dollar domestic beers, 25 cent games and shoe rental on weeknights. Don't goto cosmic bowling though, $40+ for 6 people for 2 hours.
