Conversely, I don't understand people equally invested in railing on him and/or Apple. It all comes down to fanboyism.

this is the problem with apple fans. someone says the iphone sucks? must be a droid fanboy. ipod sucks? must be a zune fanboy.

or maybe the company just sucks ass and has contributed more to the downfall of society than any other in history.

i guess i'm just a 'good products at good prices' fanboy. woe is me, whatever will i do with this obsession.

Yes.

Oh yeah? How you like them apples?!

<____Slams piece of paper with girls phone number against the window. Phone number of the girl you tried to pick up but failed miserably at.

I have a 13" MacBook Air (2011)
I have an iPhone 4
My wife has a 13" MacBook Air (2009)
My wife has an iPhone 3GS

I'd say that "we" like Apple 😉

This year I've bought:
iPhone 4
Apple TV 2
iPad
Macbook Air
Wife's 4S get's delivered tomorrow.

Oh and I made homemade applesauce last weekend.

Thing is though, in no way does the iPhone or iPod suck.

Now I'm about as far away from an iDiot as you get but to say they suck is daft. They may not suit you (and they certainly dont suit me) but they dont suck.

Watching the video - he's talking from the viewpoint of "he knows his products don't suck and he won't ship crap" mentality...and he's absolutely correct. [ Note - I am in no way an apple fanboy].

I personally don't like Apple because I couldn't see into the future to invest everything I had to buy up stock when it was less than $10 a share [back in 2001-2003].

i've admitted in the past that the ipod touch and iphone are nice products. the interface works well, they are fairly sturdy, the hardware is decent enough...but then you have to qualify it a hundred different ways.

no, the original ipod was not unique or even that good. the new revisions of the iphone are a silly cashgrab. the ipad is useless. everything is too proprietary, everything is too expensive, and itunes is probably the worst software even 'invented' (and influenced all other software companies, seemingly somehow forcing them to turn their music software into bloated trash).

then you get to their desktops and laptops, and it just becomes much easier to say that they suck as a company. if you want individual product reviews, post in the tech forums.

OMG, Jazz is the best apple ever! Yes, let's hijack this thread with fruit! The Cupertino bunch can bite me.

Definitely, they are possibly the greatest company in the world right now and they send the trend for pretty much every tech market.

Apple haters are just as bad as the Apple fanbois. Two sides to the same coin.

I'm a creative professional so I'm pretty much forced to own a Mac. Final Cut is rapidly replacing Avid as the go-to NLE software for television. Not that crappy X version though. Let's... not talk about that. 😛

It's hard to deny that their laptops are some of the best. I've own two. I own an iPad as well, an iPhone 3G (with a 4S pre-ordered), and an iPod I found and fixed up. I also have a Windows 7 gaming rig, which I'm using right now, and a Linux box I tinker with.

One thing Apple has always been good at is making tech accessible for non-techies. That's something Microsoft never really mastered until recently. Their product quality is solid, they've had some fairly innovative stuff, and it's very well marketed.

The people who slobber on Jobs' dead nuts are funny. I own an iPod, but don't see myself buying another Apple product for a very long time, if ever. Their products are ridiculously overpriced.

I like them. I currently own an iPad 2 and have an iPhone 4S coming tomorrow. I'll likely add a Macbook Pro next year when my notebook is due to be replaced. They make good stuff but there are certainly downsides(cost for the PC's/notebooks) and limitations(many, particularly on iOS). As long as you understand and can live them they are good products, solid build quality, and good support. I have been a windows user all my life and an Android user for the last couple years. I may be getting old but my interest in building PC's, modding, tweaking, rooting, ROMing, etc. has died way down. I just want to plug it in and work, Apple is good at that. They certianly aren't the end all and don't do much of anything that other products can do cheaper. You are certainly paying a premium for styling(that gap has narrowed greatly) and popular culture.
